When Glasstream Powerboats launched its GSX line of high-performance center consoles last year, the Dothan, Ala., the company made its new 36-footer the centerpiece of its Miami International Boat Show exhibit. The aggressively styled model powered by Mercury Racing300R outboard engines drew a crowd.
Designed by Stephen Miles and applied by Paul Boyden, the boat’s paintjob was like a magnet for performance-minded show-goers.

This year at the Miami event, which is set for February 14-18, the company will display its entire current GSX Powerboats line with another 36-footer powered by twin Mercury Racing 500R outboards, a 32-footer with the same propulsion package and a 28-footer with a pair of 225-hp outboards from Mercury Marine.
“This will be the first time we have displayed the GSX 28,” said Ashley Strong, the director of marketing for GSX/Glasstream Powerboats. “Dealers had it display at shows last year, but Total Marine was our first dealer to showcase the GSX 28.”
In July 2023, the company revealed its GSX 32 LS center console—in tandem with the multi-location, Norwalk, Conn.-headquartered-dealership—for the first time at the weekend-long Tiki Lee’s Shootout On The River event in Sparrows Point, Md. The 32-footer sold that weekend.
“We are going to reveal a new deck for the GSX 36 in Miami,” said Kruis Retherford, the owner of GSX/Glasstream Powerboats and the subject of a late-2023 Speed On The Water/Scrapyard Media “In The Lead” series video. “And we’ll have the brand-new 32.
“We’re excited to launch the complete line of GSX Powerboats which will include a 28, 32 and 36 in Miami for the first time,” she continued. “Our focus is to be a top contender in our market and create an opportunity for more buyers to experience the thrill of high-performance boating.”
